As part of our
NIST SP 800-171 (Protecting Controlled Unclassified Information in Nonfederal Systems and Organizations) and
DFARS 204.73 (Safeguarding Covered Defense Information and Cyber Incident Reporting) compliance effort, KINEX enabled multi-factor authentication (MFA) for our Office 365 users. MFA for Office 365 requires your password and an additional step to login to your account, including a text message, phone call, or email message to an alternate/non-Office 365 email address. You can also use an app password or the Microsoft Authenticator. The following URL provides information for users on how to setup their account to use 2-step verification for Office 365:
